Continuing the fight for equality.

Together, we elected Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, won the Georgia runoffs and achieved pro-equality majorities in the House and Senate. Now we’re going to pass the Equality Act through Congress and ensure protections for LGBTQ+ people nationwide.

How we’re making change today

HRC’s campaigns are focused on mobilizing those who envision a world strengthened by diversity, where our laws and society treat all people equally, including LGBTQ+ people and those who are multiply marginalized.

  • We Are Suing

More than 250 anti-LGBTQ+ bills were introduced in states this year. 24 were enacted. We are taking the fight to the courts in Florida, Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee.

  • Count Me In

Transgender and non-binary people are your neighbors, co-workers, family members and friends. And when you or your friends and family are the targets of hate, violence and discrimination, you act.

  • The State Legislative Attack On LGBTQ+ People

LGBTQ+ people are under a coordinated attack in state legislatures across the country with a record number of anti-LGBTQ+ bills on track to be enacted into law in 2021. The Human Rights Campaign is at the frontlines fighting back. We’re organizing nationwide, and mobilizing pro-equality voices in an effort to halt hundreds of bills from moving through legislative chambers.

Hard-Won Victories

We’ve succeeded in making change by demonstrating to the public that attacks on equality anywhere are threats to equality everywhere.
